Default my journey to downloading BC..

so.. i decided to download BC today online since all the stores around me were sold out.

man i wish all of you could see the distigust and frustration on my face.. 5 hours i've been trying to fix this.. apparently my firewall is up and keeping my computer from downloading what i need, but its not my computers firewall its my routers.. and i need to open like 5 ports..

i been trying forever to the point where im cursing at my moniter haha, luckly a computer guy lives across the street.. he's just not home yet.

so i don't know when i'll be on again, when ever this gets fixed i guess..

Yep Welcome to WoW's Bit Torrent Hell.

Great way to get free bandwidth. Bad for Customers.

The easiest thing for you to do would be to put your specific computer in the Router's DMZ.

Then restart the WOW launcher. Should be pretty quick then.

Just do not do anything else during that time. Especially surfing the web.

yeah and putting your computer in the DMZ actually hurts the blizzard downloader more for some reason. my biggest problem w/ it is that it blows by at max upoload till my download stalls and just repeats this process the entire download. my bandwidth usage would look like a sine wave.....all the blizz dowloader is a bit torrent and there are programs that can actually find the torrent info from the exe you download then you can open the torrent in your favorit bit torrent client and controll what ports it uses and its upload rates and whatnot. i've yet to mess w/ those programs but aparently also you can go to a website and enter the url for the download and it will download the file into its cash and find the torrent for you..no programs to install :P anyway thats all i got
