Eh, so after...what, 2 years?, of never giving in to the WoW craze, I finally caved in a wee bit and got the 14-day trial. Any tips from you WoW junkies?

Whats the difference between Alliance and Horde? Other than race and general background.

To be honest, besides race and classes....only Questing is different and atmosphere.

Meaning each race has their own special racial abilities (Such as Tauren Stomp, or Corpse Eating as undead, stone form if you are a dwarf, ) etc...

The towns and capitals are different and the quests are somewhat different...but at later levels you will be questing right along side the opposite faction in neutral areas as well..

So really it's all about personal preferance.

I have about half my toons on each faction, so there's really no difference I can see other than what I mentioned above.

Here's a tip, don't let it consume you... Damn thing got me twice, luckily I was able to get out before I was too drawn in.

WoW will suck you in... If you and I party together, and we end one night at level 10, then I work the next day and you don't. I come home and ur level 15... I have to catch up, I have to play until we are dead even again. You have to keep u up, you can't be left behind!

TF2.. Play and have fun lol.

WoW is like heroin, TF2 is like alcohol :-P

Welcome Man..

I too started very recently. It has consumed me.. But not to the point of not eating or anything.

I enjoy it very much and I do not regret it at all!

Now my take on Horde VS Alliance.

I have both.

If your interested in joining the guild then Horde is the way to go..

There are only a few alliance regulars. We want to build the alliance side. But the guild started horde, and that is were the VAST Majority reside.

Something I have also found. It SEEMS like the horde is WAY more active on our server.. I have nothing to back this up, but it seems that way.

But in the end. I suggest you create characters on both sides, and try all classes out. Try to go to level 15 to get a decent feel.
