Advertising the guild in WoW

How do i go about doing it. The whole We are blah blah, we have guild bank, blah blah.

What is acceptable in terms of doing it, and were do i do it?

Even if we only pick up a cpl of GOOD peeps from it, then it will be worth it to me.

Just different versions of messages like those...


I try to include the bank and vent in all of them, and fit in that we have high level members as well as lower levels.

Lately I have been trying to fit instances into it also.

I ALWAYS include the website incase they just want to check us out...


I have never really recruited in WoW so I try to mix it up and try many different angles to see what works..

I know recently we aquired 2 new members on the alliance side although one of them was Dolemite's brother haha....

the best place would be any major city. yes a lot of people just skip over that stuff but the more eyes seeing it will be better. If someone makes up an AD give it out to everyone in the guild, then everytime we go to a major city we can send it out. That way one person isnt camping. those that are looking for a guild then will probly whisper ya. Also if you are just around, try making new friends then ask em even if they are in a guild. maybe their guild sucks, you know the basics. Ive been asking around about advertising and one of the best things to do is just be on. the more you are on the more likely the word will get out. if you knew this stuff already then sorry to waste your time. im new here so i dont know what everyone knows, but i just want to help out.

If someone makes up an AD give it out to everyone in the guild, then everytime we go to a major city we can send it out.

to say something in either channel all you type is

/#(space)(whatever you want to say)

I didnt know there was a G-recruitment channel til like 5 secs ago, but if you want the AD to go to all cities then post it into the trade channel. i see it all the time on trade.

I have been posting it in General(1). I have heard about the guild recruitment chat but until I read that post did not know what the command for it was...


I try to stick to the 2nd stage cities and the major capitals....

IE Stormwind or the forest outside of it(cannot remember the correct spelling)

Or for the Night Elves Dolnaar or their capital...

The dwarves have Ironforge and then the valley outside...


I see a lot of 10-15s with no guild in the Night Elf area....it seems like the human characters are more heavily recruited than the Night Elf characters...might be something to look into...

I have been advertising in the night elf area but I am only level 12...If we could get someone like Draven who has a high level NE then maybe he would get more bites!


I have been trying to group with people and ask them after playing for a while...That is how I got one of our new alliance members....other than that I don't know what to do....

I will definitely help out with recruiting with Locamota. Sorry I have been afk for the last few days, but I will be back very soon. I will be on Alliance side on Sunday recruiting and running instances with anyone who wants to go. If anyone needs an instance run on Sunday just send me a msg, no tips needed and you can keep all the loot, but I wouldn't object to a donation to the guild bank.

I could use a run through the stockades or Deadmines on the alliance side....

I am planning to split the money earned in the AH from the instace runs roughly 80/20 with the guild...Giving the guild a 20% kick back to keep our bank going..


Tonight I took several gold out of the alliance bank to make some armor for one of our lower level members but I will be replacing it over the weekend/next week.....

Once we get more members I think we should have a set % to kick back to the guild...



One day it would be nice to have a 2-5% kick back but until we get more players I will be giving more to keep the flow of cash in our bank going...
