I don't think i'm intrested in getting a new Dell. I wasn't all that pleased with my last one. I am buying a laptop not a desktop. And that's what I was wondering whether acer would be alright for the casual gaming that I was used to doing.

i recommend going to newegg, using the link from this website of course, to pick out a laptop. if you pick laptops on the main page, you can do an advanced search for the GPU you want. most namebrand laptops come with onboard video, which sucks for gaming. I picked up an off brand laptop from newegg w/ a 2.4 ghz dual core intel cpu, 2 gb of ram, and an nvidia 8600 gt, and it has a 17" widescreen. I know the GPU isn't the newest and fastest, but it plays COD4, TF2, CS:S, and DOD:S just fine. one thing I would recommend though is to buy a laptop cooling pad, because when gaming, the GPU really heats things up. happy hunting!
