Ruger, the issue that Ramm is talking about here happened 2 days ago.
The last Valve TF2 update, destroyed the servers until they released another update about 2-3 hours later that fixed it.
So I got home, no one could join the servers because there needed to be updates run on it. I ran the updates on server 3, they concluded fine, so I continued to do 4 and 5....however, they never came back up from the shutdown and restart. I attempted to shutdown the server, start the server, restart the server...etc.
I called Dunno and asked him to remote into the box and see if he could help...no dice, they were in a constant restarting loop.
Later we got an update from Valve saying. "There has been an update released to fix the issue where servers were not coming back up after update".
Douchbags!!!
So, Rammstein, that hardly ever happens. Usually the updates are run and within 5-10 mins max depending on the size of the update, they are back online.
Rare problem, with an even more rare cause...
