Everytime I used to see a pyro, I was like
"Ooh! free kill"
and I would sometimes whip out my melee weapon and see if I could crit them
now when they're in melee range, I'm lucky to get one hit in before I'm all toasty
I'm not used to taking pyros as a threat
before, they were on the same threat level as spies and engineers
now, they're as dangerous as soldiers and demos
Agree?

Jade man, you were playing all day. Mostly on dustbowl... Be careful. You might get burnt out. (bad pun)
Seyon made some great points on the pyros position. They were one of the most shortchanged classes. Now they actually have a fighting chance against soldiers! As much as I don't like getting torched 29 times in 10 minutes I still have a soft spot for 'em. I just wish I could play one legitimately and not have to feel guilty.

yes it is stupid how much stronger they are. they can kill soldiers in a few sec wtf do u think it gona do to a scout. its gona make scouts useless

not sure what to think about the pyro at this moment ... he is definatly alot more powerful,
but at least he dont suck ass now

Good. Already, three decent scouts can shut down a map for both sides. At least now they'll have a deterrent.

I did not kill as single Pyro when I played Scout yesterday, unless I snuck up on them
I keep forgetting that I cant rush into the flame to scattergun 'em anymore

The current Pyro setup makes playing a spy almost worthless. Perhaps I'm just feeling 5 pyros = instant death to even a cloaked spy. I'm hoping that the Spy update will help balance things. I think the Pyro is now more valid but is carrying way to much ammo in comparison to Soldiers/Demos.
My two cents. I don't like how Valve is trickling out class updates unbalancing a great game in the process. I'm also bitter on the achievement issue. I have a baby, two jobs, a wife, hobbies, charity work etc... so evidently I don't deserve to have any new toys.
