I wonder... now that they've started programming the new weapons/achievements... maybe they'll start releasing more classes quicker?
I don't know. Seems like they're trying to do updates a la WoW... just to keep players interested. I can only hope that now, while the pyro is being released, they already have at least two other classes planned and in the works.
I'll probably jam out the pyro quickly, but that's just because I see the word "achievements" and I crap my pants with obsessive desire.

They are, I even remember reading a article/interview from steam/valve that was talking about this, I believe the next few are coming out real quick, like.

an achievement should've been to blast an enemy off a cliff and have them die of fall damage
