I'm in the same boat as Akira... forgot to preorder, so as soon as I get a copy of the game (hopefully within a week or two) I will post my info so I can get rocked. I haven't been good since the original version with Ness not sucking.
Glad you guys are enjoying the game, just shows there will be less activity with you peeps in the future eh?
I personally have no interest in fighting games anymore...ever since Killer Instinct 2....I just found it pointless to spend hours and hours to learn all the moves for a game, and then they release a second one of the game and change all the damn buttons, so you have to learn all over...
I mastered Killer Instinct, and when 2 came out, I was highly dissapointed that I had to learn all over again...haven't played a fighting game since then...I know, that's a long time ago...
But I still rock my old console games on my PC such as MK1-4, KI1, Steet Fighter Series...etc...
I would love to get a Wii however for Zelda and Metroid alone....
Don't worry, SSBB is easy to get into and the special attacks really are not anything that require much memory. The specials do not require any kinda of button combinates it just depends on which way you direct your control stick when you hit the special button.
For example here would be the attack settup for Link and Samus.
Link:
A: Attack, uses sword and what not.
B: Just standing still and holding B allows you to charge and shoot an arrow.
Left or Right B: Gale Boomerange.
Down B: Bomb, you pull out a bomb. To throw the bomb just press A after its in your hands.
Up B: Allows you to do the spining sword tornado thing. (Can be charged)
Samus:
A: Just kicking and punching, sometimes your hand shoots out fire, I dunno how to explain it.
B: Shoot beam. Holding B allows you to charge the beam.
Left or Right B: Heat-Seeking missile, randomly it can be a powerful super missile (doesnt heat-seek).
Down B: Transform into a ball and lay some bombs.
Up B: Screw attack.
Actually that sounds pretty easy indeed....not too shabby...
Is it motion controlled like other wii games???

I think that this thread should be put on hold until I get a copy of the game. It makes me sad.
And yeah, Draven, Super Smash is appealing because it isn't one of those games where the people who play constantly know different combos that others do not, and are able to rock people because of that. As long as you can remember to press the control stick while you press one of 2 buttons, you will be at the same level of controls as anyone else. That doesn't mean that everyone is as good as everyone else, though.... One of my friends can slaughter anybody else that I have ever played with. You should try out one of them at some point, as it is more of a fun series than any other fighting series that I have played.

See that's what I like...I get into most fighting games now and just mash the shit out of random buttons...not remembering shit...lol
Good to know....

How do you get special moves to be a smash attack?
The same way you do with an actual Smash attack. Just "Smash" to the side and press the button at the same time.
Not all specials have a Smash and a regular version. In fact, Samus' missiles are the only ones coming to mind at the moment.
Super Missile = smash towards + B
Seekers = hold towards, then B
If you Smash out a Super missile, then continue to hold toward and repeatedly press B, you'll get Seekers afterwards.
If you want nothing but Seekers, just hold towards your opponent first, then start jamming on that B button.
If you want a string of Super missiles, just "Smash" and B every time.
Is that explained thoroughly enough for ya?!?!?
PS. Bet that's a record number of uses of the word "Smash" in any post on this forum!

You can totally get one on Amazon/Barnes And Noble/eBay if you they ship to your area. I don't actually know where you live, so I can't help with that. :/
Yeah, totally getting mine tomorrow.
I'm also pretty bad at this game, so expect free kills from me.
