I'm starting this thread in the hopes of being introduced to cool sites out there that I've never seen. So, please share any websites that you think any fellow-gamer and/or human-being really should know about. Give descriptions of why we should go to each site and categorize if you mention a lot.
Don't worry if a site sounds obvious (unless it's TOO obvious, like Youtube or Ebay), you never know.
Thanks!
I'll start with a couple obvious ones. I'll add more later:
Great Source for FPS Maps/Skins/Etc...: FPS Banana
(Games Include TF2, DOD:S, DOD, CS, CS:S, and many others)
Best Internet Radio Station: www.pandora.com
(Allows you to create your own 'stations' based upon bands or songs that you like)
Bad Jocks. This is a site where people involved in sports run afoul of the law. A lot of small time sports stuff. (ie Little League parents who punch out the umpire after the game, high school coach caught spending some "extra time" with one of his players).
Truth or Fiction. You know all those annoying emails you get about the little girl who has cancer and if you forward the email she will recieve donations from Bill Gates, etc. This site lets you find out if they are true or not.
Live Search. Microsoft site a lot like Mapquest but with a cool twist. Type in the address and then you can click on "Birds eye veiw" and get a aerial picture of the address, not the normal straight down look, much closer. You can also switch directions of the way you are looking at the address. Its really cool. Type in your home address and play with it.

Project Gutenberg : massive index of books, texts, and speeches that are all downloadable... great for writing papers, or reading a classic that you have always wanted to read, but didn't want to spend the 10 bucks on a hard copy, you cheap, cheap reader....
SCIgen - An Automatic CS Paper Generator : generates computer science papers that just contain random jargon thrown together, but good enough that it has gotten them into competitions.
BitLet - the BitTorrent Applet : torrent downloader.... you just download it through your web browser instead of using a real client... does have bugs, as it is still in beta
And that would be all of the sites in my favorites that other people could actually use. The rest are gaming forums and quicklinks to stuff that I use regularly like Wikipedia. And I am hoping that I don't have to link people to Wikipedia....
