I used it for 3 months...it was quite good...though I did notice that my 3d games didn't run as smoothly as XP.

Then they wanted me to pay for it...THAT SUCKED!

I have it on my computer now...lots of programs don't work with vista...I'm not very smart when it comes to technical crap for computers, but once I go my new computer I've had more and more problems.

I go to support forums and the first question they ask is are you using vista? I reply yes and their answer is, well it doesn't work with vista. And that's why it sucks to me.

i have yet to use a program that vista doesnt allow, but those programs will be usable soon

I have Vista on one of my computers. I've set up my account as an admin account. Yet Vista still doesn't let me make administrative/systemwide changes because I don't have the "priviledges" to do it, never mind that I AM ADMIN.

Hop online for some support, read that Vista has a "true" admin account hidden in the background and that it can only be accessed via a technical and complicated procedure.

I don't bother with the procedure. I only use that computer for gaming nowadays because of the 8500GT in it.

I stand by my original post - The "Mojave Experiment"

XP sucked for a year or two as well, MS is always playing catch up with as broad of a hardware selection as they have to support.

I'm running Vista Ultimate 64 on my gaming machine, it's been OK, a little strange on some things, but overall, I won't go back to XP on that machine.

More than anything, it proves Mac's ad campaign is genius.
