Welcome To One World Syndicate Community!
One World Syndicate (OWS) is an online gaming community with over 100 active members. OWS members come from a wide variety of backgrounds, vocations, and technical and gaming expertise. Our ages range from 13 to 65 and we're from all over the world: from Texas, to Canada, to Germany.
One thing our members especially enjoy about the OWS community is the wide choice of games. We usually have over 10 servers, serving whichever games our members are most interested in. See the banners below for descriptions of each of our games and the servers connected to them.
OWS is definitely not just about the games. OWS aims to promote friendship and team spirit between members, which in turn creates more excitement about the games we play. The values we in OWS emphasize are maturity, honesty, team-work, and a desire to not take life or the game too seriously. OWS members play hard, but not so hard to disrespect others and spoil the fun. OWS leadership strives to continue creating a place where members can come together to relax and enjoy increasing their skills and knowledge of the games they play.
For those who are interested, we are recruiting good people (by attitude, not skill). If you'd like to apply: log-in, click on the ‘Uncle Sam’ picture, and follow the directions. We'll get back to you quickly. For more information on the recruitment process contact :
I have been sent to tell you about a great game that you have probably heard about... A game that is sweeping OWS and taking the world with it... That's right, it's "Call of Duty 4", and it's going to kick your butt like it's never been kicked before.
If you have ever played a Call of Duty game before, then you know it is intense, it is real, and it is totally freaking awesome! Call of Duty 4 drops you into a battle zone filled with explosions, gun fire, and even alittle crying... The graphics are nothing to shake a stick at, and the special effects are unbelievable! If you have good speakers or headphones, you'll probably believe you are in a war and try shooting your mother with your mouse (I speak from personal experience).
Now i'm here to tell you about the multiplayer, and why you should go pick up a copy and start kicking the crap out of players like you never have before. The multiplayer has dozens of options, and a really nice ranking system. The more you play, kill, and do objectives, the more points you get. The more points you get means the higher rank you may go. The higher your rank the more you can do... Upgrade your guns, put different sights on them, put some camouflage on them, or maybe just pick a new gun. You want a shotgun? You go for it, you want an M16? YOURS. Maybe your M16 feels lonely with a grenade launcher, well unite them and blow the hell out of your enemies!
Customize your weapons to your choice and use them however you want in CoD4. Hell they have rocket launchers if you want more explosions. Maybe nice machine gun that is innocently perched on a wall, why not!? If that isn't enough, your rank is displayed beside your name, so everyone can know just how much they should probably fear you. What's that? You think you're too good for CoD4? Try the hardcore multiplayer where you don't get those fancy cross hairs, only your sights to depend on... Yeah, you still think your hot stuff? Try that on for size and tell me your going undefeated.
Sounds pretty great doesn't it? Well i'm not done just yet because CoD4 has more to throw in your face. If you are just so great that you can kill everyone, then you get to have some fun. Get a few kills and you get a nice radar launched that will show you and your teammates where the enemies are... You decide they need to die and you kill them without dying, CoD4 will then give you more fun, they'll give you a missle barrage to let your enemies eat... Oh yes... Explosions, and lots of them, along with your name... and lots of nubs next to it... Hey you know what? You did a great job, so why not deploy the helicopter you just unlocked? Now just sit back and watch this sucker roam around the map and kill every last enemy it can find until someone shoot a rocket at it and take it down... Then kill them and get it back!
Call of Duty 4 is fast paced, it is intense and it is your face. While Team Fortress 2 is fun, it's too cartoonish and CoD 4 will just take it down with a well aimed grenade to it's little toesies. You don't have to watch infront of you, you have to strategize, you have to plan and you have to know what in the heck you're doing or you're toast. You think the battle is halfway down the map? WRONG, enemies just spawned two clicks to the east of your drop zone, what are you gonna do now? There is always action, there is always gun fire, and there is nothing but fun about this game.
Now for those of you who are scared of a challenge, you can always try out the single-player campaign and get used to the game. Take down the terrorists trying to kill off the world, and do it with a smile on your face. Every moment will have you running around firing at dozen's of enemies waiting for a chance to take your head off. You want to be a sniper? There's missions for that, how about crawls around in the bushes as a tank passes beside you? CHECK. The single-player campaign is fun, and has unlockable cheats that give it great replay value, but that's just the tip of the iceberg... You'll never play the game until you play the multiplayer of greatness.
So what do you say Mary Jane Rotten Crotch? Think you can take down your enemies? Think you're good at first-person shooters? Then get your combat boots on and march to the store, i'll be waiting for you in the One World Syndicate servers waiting to see your pretty blue eyes to show up in my scope.
